Storytelling

Magician or storyteller?

Nick combines both these ancient art-forms as an entertainer and practitioner of what is known as Gothic (or sometimes, Bizarre) Magic.  But he is more than happy to perform as a storyteller alone.

Recent commissions include telling ghost stories at Caerphilly Castle, launching storytelling to regulars of a Pembrokeshire pub, relating tales about food at the National Trust's Newton House, regailing local historians with tales of Victorian villains and introducing members of the Carmarthenshire Tourism Association to some of their local legends.

In fact, until he started attending story-telling clubs and festivals Nick didn't consider himself a storyteller at all.  It was only when he started to explore this increasingly popular world that he realised that he was as much a teller of unusual stories as he was a conjuror.

Since then he has appeared at storytelling clubs in South Wales as well as on the fringe at the Beyond the Border and Festival At The Edge events.

He regularly lectures to magicians on the art of combining magic and storytelling at clubs and conventions around the UK.

Although his focus will always be on spooky and unsetting stories he has a fund of other tales to interest and enthrall audiences of every kind.
